Mission Statement

In 2020 Border Area Mental Health Services, Southwest Counseling Center and Southern New Mexico Human Development merged into one organization. In 2021 the supportive, property holding organizations; Southern Rio Grande Mental Health Foundation and Mimbres Regional Mental Health Corporation also merged. They serve a mixed urban-rural area of southern New Mexico. The Center serves the communities of Dona Ana, Grant, Luna, Hildago and Otero Counties. There are approximately 2,000 open client cases throughout the various locations of the Center.
